Membership in Alpha Phi Alpha is not a title. It is a commitment to something larger than yourself — to brotherhood, to service, and to a legacy that has been building in Orlando since 1953. If you are ready for that, we want to meet you.
An Alpha man's greatest interest is outside himself.
Delta Xi Lambda is looking for men who are ready to lead, to serve, and to build something that outlasts them. Membership in this chapter means showing up for the community, for your brothers, and for the values Alpha Phi Alpha has stood on since 1906.
A commitment to continued learning and intellectual growth.
Setting a standard of excellence in every area of life.
Giving time, talent, and presence to the community.
Holding to what is right, especially when it is difficult.
Bringing the highest standard to everything the chapter does.
Representing the Fraternity with dignity at all times.
Refusing to accept less than the best from yourself or others.
Centering the people DXL serves in every decision.
Are you qualified?
Delta Xi Lambda is an alumni chapter. Membership requires an earned baccalaureate degree and a genuine commitment to the chapter's mission. These are the minimum requirements for consideration.
More than a resume.
The eligibility requirements are the floor, not the ceiling. Delta Xi Lambda is looking for men who already carry themselves like brothers — men whose instinct is to serve, whose word means something, and whose presence makes the chapter better.
“Membership in Alpha Phi Alpha is a commitment to something larger than yourself. We are not looking for candidates who are not interested in serving the Orlando community.”
If you believe that is you, the next step is simple: submit an inquiry below. Our Chapter Membership Dean will follow up with you directly.

You get to know the chapter
You may be invited to attend chapter events, meet brothers, and learn what Delta Xi Lambda does and what membership involves.
The chapter gets to know you
Membership in Alpha Phi Alpha is selective. The chapter determines whether you and DXL are the right fit for each other. This takes time and is intentional.
